I am a non-technical person since childhood.
A simple person with artistic and creative pursuits with ink, color, crafts etc. but calculating, articulating, analyzing and statement making were the things I deliberately avoided.
Simpler the life, happier I am!
Well, I made a career in management and for a good, long time I used Yahoo and Outlook for my official and personal purposes.
WHY I STARTED MY G-MAIL ACCOUNT?
Google was getting so popular (when I noticed around 2010)but it didn’t affect me at all because I was happy with my basic functioning work life and google boogle didn’t mean anything to me.
It was around 2011, when I left my job due to family reasons and sat down to relax.
But relaxing is not in my DNA, so very soon it started itching me.
I started feeling the need to work but I knew I couldn’t afford to stay out of home for too long.
There I had no work, which could stimulate me mentally and lure me financially to carry on.
The primary condition was “working on my own time and pace.”
Around that time, I had started searching for work from home opportunities to keep me occupied.
During one of those misadventures, I got duped also but that’s something I’ll tell you later and also how to avoid online fraud work from home opportunities.
So, during my search, I got this idea that starting a Blog was a good thing to earn money.
(To be honest, everybody needs money and of course, I am not different!)
But I had no idea what exactly a Blog was !
I searched again and understood that it was a kind of your everyday diary entry.
Something we used to do for fun during our school days.
Well, I had always been bad with diary keeping (writing) and keeping it securely, too.
I was very imaginative and was an avid reader in childhood.
So, I used to write up many cooked up imagery characters and things in my diary and whenever any of my siblings or cousins used to lay their hands on that diary, they used to look at me suspiciously.
That was then, but now not even knowing , what a blog could be; how could I start it?

To start a Blog I needed to have a gmail account, which I didn’t have. So I created a G-mail account first. How To Start A G-Mail Account?

Sign up for Gmail
- Visit the Google Account creation page.
- Follow the steps on the screen to complete your account setup.
- After you’ve created your Google Account, you can use it to sign in to Gmail on your computer, phone, or tablet.
I followed the steps and now I had my own gmail account. The first step was overcome but the main aim was to start a Blog.
I STARTED MY FIRST BLOG WITH ZERO MONEY!
I was on my own. HAD TO DO SOMETHING! I WANTED A BLOG AT ANY COST (In fact free!)
I read all the instructions – once, twice, thrice and many times – till I could understand a little bit of that and started this Blog and started sharing my small wisdom bits from my crafty ideas.

- Sign in to Blogger.
- In the top left, next to “New blog” click the Down arrow .
- Click New blog.
- Enter a name for your blog.
- Choose a blog address, or URL.
- Choose a template.
- Click Create blog.
I have seen many enthusiastic people, starting with purchasing their own domain and hosting services and very soon, when their enthusiasm fizzles out loosing their confidence and money.
That’s the reason, this first step is necessary to start with a free blog.
This will help you ensure that you really want to share something with the world.
It should not be a single day experience and later dumped in a virtual corner, never to be seen again.
I kept sharing my crafty ideas on Creative Hands, but I had many other ideas to share which were not appropriate for a crafty blog, so I started the other Blog Mind Marathon to share when any topic itches me too hard to retain.
WHERE WAS THE MONEY? STARTING WITH ADSENSE.
I was up and running with two blogs but no signs of money! So, where was the money honey?
I searched a little more. I found that an Adsense account can get you money, so I signed up for that.
It asked me to wait for six long months before I could know if it actually worked for me.

- Create a Google account. If you are already have a gmail account, then you already have a Google account.
- Own your website or blog for some time before applying.
- Own a site that contains original content.
- Provide key information to Google AdSense.
But setting up Adsense account was not enough, getting it activated was the main important task, which takes a bit time.
THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP FOR SANITY :-
SETTING UP ONLINE WORK BLOG, TRAFFIC, ADSENSE ACTIVATION ETC. may TAKE UP AT LEAST three MONTHS TO ONE YEAR, SO IT’S ADVISABLE THAT YOU DON’T GET FRUSTRATED AND GET YOURSELF OCCUPIED IN SOMETHING ELSE SIDE-BY-SIDE.
CREATED YOUTUBE CHANNEL STITCHING MALL!
I have been a sewing enthusiast since childhood.
Whenever I used to get time out of my professional schedule, I made dresses.
Friends and relatives used to ask me for tips and suggestions but I was not always available to share my insights.
During one of my visits to my friend, she opened her Sewing Machine and played one YouTube channel for trouble shooting.
It was around 2014-15 and till that time I had no idea what exactly YouTube was!
Her Sewing Machine troubles did not stop there and it gave me an idea that I could share my hands-on experience with her via YouTube.
I captured some of my working experiences through my simple Micromax smartphone and shared on YouTube, after creating a YouTube Channel Stitching Mall.
Not only she but other people also started joining in and sharing their experiences with me.
I liked this platform of sharing and carried on.
How to Get a new channel set up, which is a simple and quick process.
- Go to YouTube and sign in. Head over to YouTube.com and click ‘sign in’ in the top right corner of the page.
- Head over to your YouTube settings.
- Create your channel.
HOW TO CREATE A YOUTUBE CHANNEL?
I had challenged myself to set up my earnings with zero financing, therefore it was all the more crucial for me to understand if one could actually make money online?
But till now, I had no traces of money coming in. The best part was that I was not accountable to anybody on the Earth but myself alone.
I was not spending any money but my precious time single-handedly.
During this time when I was packing and shifting my things to the new house, I received a postcard from Google (now Google sends OTP on your mobile).
I was suspicious about its authenticity.
That postcard had some sort of PIN Number and their address etc.
I confirmed with my brother if I should enter my financial details.
When it was okayed then I entered my account details on my Adsense account.
I got Ad codes by entering New Ad Unit on left side of Adsense account, which I added to my blog page also in HTML (code) page.
Now, you got it easier by adding this html code on text widget of blogger page.
Meanwhile, I got super busy in getting my house renovated and shifting my base.
It took more than eight months’ time and I almost gave up on this work from home online internet job kind of rubbish.
How do you get money and the message
I RECEIVED MY FIRST PAYMENT MESSAGE ON MY PHONE!
I wondered how and where my account got hacked when it had no money!
It took me some time to understand that I actually RECEIVED some money. It was a life saver on exact time, when I needed it.
For the first time in my life, I believed that anybody could actually EARN MONEY ONLINE by genuine ways.
This money was generated through my YouTube videos on Stitching Mall and my free Blog adverts on Stitchingisfun – Creative Hands and itchyhead – Mind Marathon.
My maiden YouTube Channel Stitching Mall was in English, which most of my fellow countrymen and women did not really find comfortable, therefore on public demand I started another YouTube Channel Stitching Mall: Hindi / Urdu.

After that when I was fully confident on my capability on earning money online. I started a paid website / blog https://stitchingmall.com/, which you are reading right now.
I started it with GoDaddy.com by paying INR 611/- for annual payment.
Then, I bought multi domain hosting services through Hostgator by paying INR 534/- for a month.
I didn’t need multi domain hosting that time because I had only one domain.
When you buy, you can keep it into consideration.
Later I found Hostgator people more cooperative and helpful than GoDaddy.
So, I bought two more domains through Hostgator with their multi domain hosting services.
I got WordPress installed, which is a free software and hostgator guides you through the set up.
In fact their customer service people are readily and patiently available to help with the issues.
Once you get domain name, hosting services and get wordpress installed, the next step is to add content.
Do add the content – which could be articles, images, videos or anything which you think are worth sharing with others.
The rule of thumb for Blogging
IF THE INFORMATION YOU ARE SHARING IS USEFUL FOR YOU,IT CAN BE USEFUL FOR SOMEONE ELSE TOO!
Based on that, add content to your website / blog by “Add Post” and once you are confident about it, publish it.
How to get into social media marketing
All these processes are linked together. When we have content on our blog, we can publish it through social sharing platforms like FACEBOOK, TWITTER, TUMBLER etc.
One more thing, don’t get overwhelmed.
Each day, do one process.
Write your progress in your diary and follow with another the next day.
Very soon, you would be making money from a beautiful tree, which would be a result of a small seed (or small small efforts) that you once planted.
